The Tourist Boards (Scotland) Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2007
The Scottish Ministers in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(1) of the Tourist Boards (Scotland) Act 2006[
1] hereby make the following Order:
Citation
1.
This Order may be cited as the Tourist Boards (Scotland) Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2007.
Appointed day
2.
The day appointed for the coming into force of the Tourist Boards (Scotland) Act 2006 (except section 5) is 1st April 2007.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order appoints 1st April 2007 as the day on which the Tourist Boards (Scotland) Act 2006, except section 5, will come into force. Section 5 relates to commencement and short title and came into force on Royal Assent (30th November 2006).
The Act renames the Scottish Tourist Board as VisitScotland, increases the maximum number of members of that body, abolishes area tourist boards and makes a number of consequential amendments to enactments.
