The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(4) of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992[
1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, having undertaken such consultation as appeared to them to be appropriate, hereby make the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.
This Order may be cited as the Falkirk College of Further and Higher Education (Change of Name) Order 2005 and shall come into force on 1st August 2005.
Change of name of Falkirk College of Further and Higher Education
2.
The name of Falkirk College of Further and Higher Education is changed to Forth Valley College of Further and Higher Education, and the name of the board of management of that college is changed to the Board of Management of Forth Valley College of Further and Higher Education.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order changes the name of Falkirk College of Further and Higher Education to Forth Valley College of Further and Higher Education. That college is under the control of a board of management in terms of the Further and Higher Education (Scotland) Act 1992 and the Order therefore also changes the name of the board of management to reflect the new name of the college.
