The Registrar General, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 28A(4), 38(2) and (3), 47 and 54(1) of the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Scotland) Act 1965[
1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and with the approval of the Scottish Ministers[
2] in accordance with section 54(1) of that Act, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Births, Deaths, Marriages and Divorces (Fees) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2005 and shall come into force on 1st April 2005. Amendment of the Births, Deaths, Marriages and Divorces (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 1998
2.
In regulation 2(1) of the Births, Deaths, Marriages and Divorces (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 1998[
3], in the definition of "Internet search session", for "48" substitute "168".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Births, Deaths, Marriages and Divorces (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 1998 by extending the period during which an Internet search session may continue from 48 hours to 168 hours.
