The Scottish Qualifications Authority Act 2002 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2004
The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 6(2) and (3) of the Scottish Qualifications Authority Act 2002[
1], hereby make the following Order:
Citation
1.
This Order may be cited as the Scottish Qualifications Authority Act 2002 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2004.
Commencement of provisions
2.
Section 1(7)(b) of the Scottish Qualifications Authority Act 2002 shall come into force on 31st August 2004.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order brings into force the last remaining provision of the Scottish Qualifications Authority Act 2002 ("the Act"). This Order commences on 31st August 2004 section 1(7)(b) of the Act (relating to the repeal of paragraphs 9(2) and 9(3) of Schedule 1 to the Education (Scotland) Act 1996, which make provision for the payment of pension, and compensation, to the chairman of the Scottish Qualifications Authority).
The Act received Royal Assent on 6th June 2002. Section 6 came into force on Royal Assent. Sections 2 to 5 came into force on 7th August 2002 and section 1, with the exception of sub section (7)(b), came into force on 19th August 2002 (S.S.I. 2002/355).
