The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 72(4) of the Water (Scotland) Act 1980[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order:
1.
This Order may be cited as the Scottish Water, Prevention of Water Pollution (Milngavie Waterworks) Byelaws Extension Order 2003 and shall come into force on 10th November 2003.
2.
The period during which the Strathclyde Regional Council, Prevention of Water Pollution (Milngavie Waterworks) Byelaws 1993[2] are to remain in force is hereby extended to 11th November 2004.

The functions of Strathclyde Regional Council under sections 70 to 72 of the Water (Scotland) Act 1980 (c.45) were transferred to West of Scotland Water by section 62 of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 (c.39), and subsequently transferred to Scottish Water by section 21 of the Water Industry (Scotland) Act 2002 (asp 3).
