The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 84(2) and (3) of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001[1], hereby make the following Order: Citation 1. This Order may be cited as the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2001. Commencement of Provision 2. Section 80 of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001 shall come into force on 1st May 2001. SARAH BOYACK A member of the Scottish Executive St Andrew's House, Edinburgh 25th April 2001 EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order) This Order brings into force section 80 of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001. Section 80 provides that a director, manager, secretary or similar officer of a body corporate or a partner of a Scottish partnership may be required to pay a civil penalty under the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001 where an act or omission has been done with their consent or connivance or where the act or omission is attributable to them. NOTE AS TO EARLIER COMMENCEMENT ORDERS (This note is not part of the Order) The following provisions of the Act are brought into force by the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001 (Commencement No. 1, Transitional Provisions and Savings) Order 2001 (S.S.I. 2001/132).
