The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 81(2)(b), 84(2) and (3) of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001[1] hereby make the following Order: Citation and interpretation 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001 (Commencement No. 1, Transitional Provisions and Savings) Order 2001. (2) In this Order-
Commencement of Provisions
(b) operated as mentioned in paragraph (b) of that subsection,
where the relevant failure or, as the case may be, operation, occurred before 1st April 2001.
Section 74(1), (2), (3) and (5) EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order) This Order brings into force various provisions of the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001. Article 2(2) and Part I of the Schedule to the Order bring into force on 1st April 2001 the provisions listed in that Part subject to any restriction of purpose specified. Article 2(3) and Part II of the Schedule to the Order bring into force on 1st July 2001 the provisions listed in that Part subject to any restriction of purpose specified. Article 2(4) and Part III of the Schedule to the Order bring into force on 1st April 2002 the provisions listed in that Part. Articles 3 and 4 make transitional and savings provisions.
