The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 7(1) and (2) and 23(f) and (g) of the Animal Health Act 1981[1] and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, make the following Order: Citation, commencement and extent 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Amendment (No. 2) (Scotland) Order 2001 and shall come into force at 8.00 p.m. on 1st March 2001. (2) This Order shall apply to Scotland only. Amendments to the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 2. The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978[2] shall be amended by adding the entries listed in the Schedule to this Order to Schedule 1 to that Order at the appropriate place in alphabetical order. This dilution rate equates to one 5g tablet in one litre of water EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order) This Order, which extends to Scotland only, amends the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978 (S.I. 1978/32). This Order (article 2 and the Schedule) amends Schedule 1 to the 1978 Order by adding to that Schedule several entries for other approved disinfectants. This Order has been notified under the urgent reasons provisions of Article 9.7 of Directive 98/34/EC of the European Parliament and Council of 22nd June 1998 laying down a procedure for the provision of information in the field of technical standards and regulations (O.J.
