The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 18(1), (4) and (11) of the Agriculture Act 1986[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Argyll Islands) Designation Amendment Order 2001 and shall come into force on 8th March 2001. Amendment of the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Argyll Islands) Designation Order 1993 2. In the Schedule to the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Argyll Islands) Designation Order 1993[2]-
(b) there shall be inserted after paragraph 12(b)(ix)-
(bb) grazing at times other than those specified in paragraph (x)(aa) above shall not exceed 0.3 Livestock Units per hectare except with the prior written consent of the Scottish Ministers; (cc) cutting shall be prohibited except with the prior written consent of the Scottish Ministers; and (dd) hay and silage shall be cut in a method that causes minimal damage to young birds.".
