The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 59(6)(b) of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994[1], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order: Citation and commencement 1. This Order may be cited as the Local Statutory Provisions (Postponement from Repeal) (Scotland) Order 2000 and shall come into force on 28th December 2000. Provisions 2. The date on which the local statutory provisions described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to have effect is hereby postponed from 31st December 2000 until 31st December 2001[2]. EXPLANATORY NOTE (This note is not part of the Order) This Order postpones the date on which the local statutory provisions listed in the Schedule to the Order shall cease to have effect under section 59(6) of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994.
