The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by section 59(6)(a) of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Order: Citation, commencement and interpretation 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Local Statutory Provisions (Exemption from Repeal) (Scotland) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 31st December 1999. (2) In this Order "the 1994 Act" means the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994. Provisions 2. The local statutory provisions described in the Schedule to this Order are hereby exempted for the purposes of section 59(6)(a) of the 1994 Act and, accordingly, shall not cease to have effect on 31st December 1999.
