Appeared Mr A Fay procurator fiscal at Peterhead who presented the petition at his instance, under the Fatal Accidents and Sudden Deaths Inquiry (Scotland) Act, 1976, relative to the death of David Hamilton which took place on 2nd June 2011 with deliverance thereon directing a public inquiry to be held at this time and place in regard to the cause of the death of the said and the circumstances thereof

The Court ordered that the evidence in this inquiry be recorded by mechanical means under the supervision of the clerk of court
Thereafter the Mr Fay lodged a Joint minute of Admissions which was read by him into the record

SHERIFF'S DETERMINATION
The Sheriff found that David Hamilton a prisoner in Peterhead Prison, born on 20th July 1931, while serving a prison sentence in Peterhead Prison died of a leaking abdominal aortic atheromatous aneurysm and coronary artery disease at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on the 2 June 2011.
