The Licensing (Designation of Outdoor Stadia) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020

The Department for Communities(1), makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 2AA(c) of the Licensing (Northern Ireland) Order 1996(2), and now vested in it(3).

Citation and commencement

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Licensing (Designation of Outdoor Stadia) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2020 and shall come into operation on 30th November 2020.

Designation of outdoor stadium

2.  Down Royal Racecourse at Maze, Lisburn, BT27 5RW is designated as a stadium which is of importance to the whole of Northern Ireland.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations designate Down Royal Racecourse, Maze, Lisburn, BT27 5RW as a stadium which is of importance to the whole of Northern Ireland. This designation allows Down Royal Racecourse to apply to the Courts for a liquor licence at the stadium.
