The Department of Health(1), in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 14(4), 39, 42, 43, 50, 57, 58, 61(1), 79(4), 132, 276, 297 and 300 and paragraphs 5, 6, 7, 8, 14 and 19 of Schedule 1, paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, 11, 13 and 14 of Schedule 2 and paragraphs 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9 of Schedule 3 to the Mental Capacity Act (Northern Ireland) 2016(2), makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Mental Capacity (Deprivation of Liberty) (Revocation) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2019 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2019.
2. The following Regulations are revoked-
(a)the Mental Capacity (Deprivation of Liberty) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2019(3); and
(b)the Mental Capacity (Deprivation of Liberty) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2019(4).
