1. These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Legal Services (Financial) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016 and shall come into operation on 11th October 2016.
2. The Civil Legal Services (Financial) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015(3) are amended as follows.
3. In regulation 4(1)(k), for "." substitute ";".
4. After regulation 4(1)(k), insert−
"(l)representation of a client who is the subject of proceedings under Article 44 or 45 of the Police and Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1989(4);
(m)representation of a client who is the subject of proceedings under paragraph 29 or 36 of Schedule 8 to the Terrorism 2000 Act(5).".
5. In regulation 9(2), for "Commission" substitute "Department".

These Regulations amend the Civil Legal Services (Financial) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 by inserting new provisions to provide that civil legal services funding for representation under the Access to Justice (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 is available without an assessment of an individual's financial resources for proceedings under:
Article 44 or 45 of the Police and Criminal Evidence (Northern Ireland) Order 1989; and
paragraph 29 or 36 of Schedule 8 to the Terrorism Act 2000.
The Regulations come into operation on 11th October 2016.
