Coming into operation-

The Department of Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 48(1) and (2) of the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2011(1), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Banning Orders (Prescribed Persons) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2012.
2. The following persons shall be prescribed persons for the purposes of section 48(1) and (2) of the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2011: -“
(a)the Chief Executive of the Irish Football Association Limited; and
(b)the Chief Executive of Derry City Council.

This Order concerns football banning orders made under Chapter 4 of Part 4 of the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2011. The Order prescribes persons to whom, in addition to the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland, the court which makes a banning order must send a copy of it. The court must also send to the same prescribed persons a copy of any order made to terminate a banning order.
