The Department for Social Development[
1], in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 104(2) of the Housing (Northern Ireland) Order 1992[
2], and now exercisable by it[
3], and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Service of Certain Documents (Prescribed Body) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2004.
Prescribed Body
2.
The Department hereby prescribes a registered housing association as a prescribed body for the purposes of Article 104 of the Housing (Northern Ireland) Order 1992.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations.)
Article 104(2) of the Housing (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 (Service of Certain Documents) makes provision for the Department to prescribe a body which may serve certain documents by ordinary post. These Regulations prescribe a registered housing association as a prescribed body.
