The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 65(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981[
1], and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Bye-Laws:
Citation and commencement
1.
These Bye-Laws may be cited as the Taxis (Newtownards) (Amendment) Bye-Laws (Northern Ireland) 2004 and shall come into operation on 3rd March 2004.
Bye-Laws amended
2.
In the Schedule to the Taxis (Newtownards) Bye-Laws (Northern Ireland) 1996[
2] before the first entry for Regent Street there shall be inserted -
"Old Cross Street |
West Side, from a point approximately 15 metres from the junction with Court Street to a point approximately 57 metres from that junction. |

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Bye-Laws.)
These Bye-Laws amend the Schedule to the Taxis (Newtownards) Bye-Laws (Northern Ireland) 1996 by prescribing a new taxi stand at Old Cross Street.
