CRIMINAL LAW
The Proceeds of Crime (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 (Code of Practice) (Commencement) Order 2003
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by paragraph 8(1)(2)(3) and (4) of Schedule 2 to the Proceeds of Crime (Northern Ireland) Order 1996[
1] and after laying a draft Code of Practice in both Houses of Parliament as required by paragraph 8(3) of Schedule 2 of the said 1996 Order, hereby makes the following Order: -
1.
This Order may be cited as the Proceeds of Crime (Northern Ireland) Order 1996 (Code of Practice) (Commencement) Order 2003.
2.
The Code of Practice made under paragraph 8(1) of Schedule 2 to the Proceeds of Crime (Northern Ireland) Order shall come into operation on 24th February 2003.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order.)
This Order brings into operation the Code of Practice for Financial Investigations in exercising their powers under Schedule 2 to the Proceeds of Crime (Northern Ireland) Order 1996.
