7. The Governors of the Armagh Observatory may apply to the Ministry of Finance for its approval to the sale or lease of any part of the lands held by the said governors on the trusts declared in the Armagh Observatory and Museum Act, 1791; and if, on any such application and after making such inquiry as it thinks fit, the Ministry of Finance is satisfied that the proposed sale or lease would be to the advantage of the said trusts, or would be in the public interest and can be effected without affecting prejudically the interests of the said trusts, then the said Ministry may authorise the sale or lease, and may give such directions in relation thereto and for securing the due investment of any moneys arising therefrom for the benefit of the said trusts as it thinks fit.
