To what cases the herein-before contained provisions as to modus or exemption shall not extend. 20. Provided always, that the provisions herein-before contained with respect to the establishment of claims of or for any modus or exemption from or discharge of tithes shall not extend to any case where the tithes of any land shall have been demised by deed for any term of life or number of years, or where any composition fr hes shall have been made by deed or writing by the person or body corporate entitled to such tithes with the owner or occupier of the land for any such term or number of years, and such demise or composition shall be subsisting at the time of the passing of this Act, nor to any suit for establishing a claim to tithes now pending.
