An Act to amend the Laws relative to the Sale of Flax Seed and Hemp Seed in Ireland.{1} [15th June 1810] Actions for selling unsound flax seed, &c. shall not be brought, except on written warranty. For the prevention of fraudulent practices in respect of flax seed and hemp seed sold in Ireland for sowing, no action or suit shall be brought in Ireland whereby to charge any person to answer damages for having at any time after the passing of this Act sold unsound, mixed, bad, or damnified flax seed or hemp seed, or flax seed or hemp seed unfit for sowing, unless the warranty on which such action shall be brought, or some memorandum or note thereof, shall be in writing signed by the party to be charged therewith, or by some other person thereunto by him lawfully authorized; any law, statute, or usage to the contrary notwithstanding: Provided always, that nothing in this Act contained shall extend to any action or suit relating to any flax seed or hemp seed sold in any smaller quantity than two bushels.
