An Act to provide for the dissolution of the National Assistance Board for Northern Ireland and for the transfer of their functions to the Ministry of Health and Social Services and a Supplementary Benefits Commission for Northern Ireland established under this Act; to replace the National Assistance Act (Northern Ireland) 1948 by provisions giving rights to non-contributory benefit; to enact further provisions relating to the said Ministry; and for purposes connected with those matters. [9th August 1966] The Act was repealed by 1977 NI 27 art.42(3) sch.7 Pt.I. Section 26 (printed below) was revived with retrospective effect by 1980 NI 8 art.15(3)
