Special provisions as to Sunday opening in holiday resorts. 8. Where the [district] or any part of the [district of a district council] is a district which is frequented as a holiday resort during certain seasons of the year, the [district council] may by order provide that on such Sundays as may be specified in the order, shops or any class of shops, being shops situated in the district or in such part thereof as may be so specified, may, subject to such conditions and during such hours as may be so specified be open for the serving of customers for the purpose of any of the transactions specified in the Third Schedule to this Act or such or them as may be specified in the order: Provided that the Sundays specified in any such order shall not be more than eighteen in any year.
