Property belonging to Her Majesty not to be vested in the officers of the ordnance. 39. Provided always, that nothing contained in this Act, or in any of the Acts herein recited or referred to, shall extend or be deemed or construed to extend to vest in the principal officers of Her Majesty's ordnance, or their successors, in any manner or for any purpose whatsoever, any messuages, buildings, castles, forts, lines, or other fortifications, manors, lands, tenements, or hereditaments, part or parcel of the hereditary possessions and land revenues of Her Majesty in right of her crown, or in right of her duchy of Lancaster, or to divest, defeat, destroy, lessen, abridge, impair, or in any manner abrogate, diminish, or prejudice the estate, right, title, interest, power, or authority of Her Majesty, in, to, out of, or over any part or parcel of the hereditary possessions or land revenues of her crown, or of her duchy of Lancaster, notwithstanding the same or any part thereof may have been heretofore set apart or may hereafter be permitted to be set apart for the use and service or placed under the charge of the ordnance or late barrack department, or other departments, and notwithstanding the same may have been heretofore or may hereafter be permitted to be set apart for or placed under the charge of any person or persons acting under the authority of or in trust for Her Majesty, or any of her royal predecessors for the use and service of the said departments or either of them, or for military defences, and notwithstanding the same may have been heretofore or may hereafter be held, used, or occupied for the use and service of the said departments or either of them, or for the defence and security of the realm, or otherwise howsoever; but the estate, right, title, interest, power, and authority of Her Majesty, in and to all and every parts and part of the hereditary possessions and land revenues of her crown and of her duchy of Lancaster, shall remain, continue, and be good, valid, and effectual and in full force, to all intents and purposes; anything in this Act or in any of the said recited Acts to the contrary thereof in anywise notwithstanding.
