23.(1) Where intoxicating liquor is ... supplied to any member or other person on the premises of an unregistered club, every person who (a)... supplies such liquor; or (b)authorises the ... supply of such liquor; or (c)pays for such liquor, (2) Where intoxicating liquor is kept for ... supply on the premises of an unregistered club (a)that liquor and any vessels containing that liquor may be seized by any member of the Royal Ulster Constabulary under a warrant granted by a justice of the peace after examination on oath of a credible witness to the fact that such liquor is so kept; (b)every officer and member of the club shall, unless he proves to the satisfaction of the court that such liquor was so kept without his knowledge or against his consent, be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction [to a fine not exceeding #100]; and (c)the liquor and the vessels containing the liquor shall, on a conviction under paragraph (b), be forfeited and sold and the proceeds of such sale shall be applied in like manner as a fine under section 20 of the Administration of Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 1954. (3) The references to an offence in subsection (2)(b) are references to an offence under this section or under the corresponding provisions of any enactment repealed by this Act.
