An Act to extend the power of Nomination in Friendly and Industrial, &c., Societies, and to make further provision for cases of Intestacy in respect of Personal Property of small amount. [25th August 1883] The Act has been repealed as to the Post Office and trustee savings banks by 1887 c.40 s.11 schs.1, 2; as to industrial and provident societies by 1893 c.39 s.8; and as to societies registered under 1896 c.25, by s.107 of, and sch.3 to that Act. The Act now applies solely to trade unions. Preamble rep. by SLR 1898
