Burial board may let land not required for burials. 196. In every case in which any order has been or shall hereafter be issued for the discontinuance of burials in any churchyard or burial ground not vested in any other person or persons, the burial board shall maintain such churchyard or burial ground in decent order, and also do the necessary repair of the walls and other fences thereof; and any costs and expenses incurred in so doing shall be deemed to be expenses of the burial board, and shall be defrayed accordingly, unless there shall be some other fund legally chargeable with such costs and expenses.
