27.(1) Subject to subsection (2), any person who, not being a duly registered nurse or a duly enrolled nurse takes or uses the name or title of nurse, either alone or in combination with any other words or letters, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding #50. (2) Without prejudice to section 26 (a)a person shall not be guilty of an offence under subsection (1) by reason only that, without objection by him, other persons use the word "nurse" in addressing or referring to him; (b)the Ministry may by regulations authorise the use, either generally or by specified classes of persons or in specified circumstances, of specified names or titles containing the word "nurse" or of the word "nurse" otherwise qualified in accordance with the regulations.
