Marriages not to be solemnized until after 21 days after entry of notice, unless by licence, and then not until after 7 days. 26. The registrar's certificate, or, in case the parties shall have given notice to the registrars of different districts, the certificate of each registrar shall be delivered to the officiating minister, if the marriage shall be solemnized according to the rites of the United Church of England and Ireland, or to the registering officer of the people called Quakers for the place where the marriage is solemnized, if the same shall be solemnized according to the usages of the said people, or to the officer of a synagogue by whom the marriage is registered, if the same shall be solemnized according to the usages of persons professing the Jewish religion, and in all other cases shall be delivered to the registrar present at the marriage as herein-after provided, and shall be by him kept with the records of his office.
