Regulations as to notice to quit. 58. No notice to quit shall be valid unless it is printed or written, or partly in print and partly in writing, and signed by the landlord or his agent lawfully authorized thereunto, .... Any person serving on a tenant a notice to quit that is not in conformity with this section shall incur a penalty not exceeding [#2], to be recovered summarily under the provisions of the Petty Sessions (Ireland) Act, 1851. In any proceedings between landlord and tenant, where the due service of a notice to quit has been proved, such notice to quit shall, until the contrary is proved, be deemed to have been duly stamped.
