Authority of messenger, &c. in England and Scotland. 75. Such warrant so endorsed shall be sufficient authority to [the messenger or his assistant bringing such warrant] [the person to whom the warrant is directed], and to all officers of the law in England and Scotland, to execute the same within the county, city, or burgh wherein it is so endorsed, and in virtue thereof to break open the house, chamber, shop, warehouse, door, trunk, or chest of such bankrupt [or insolvent], and to seize upon the ... property of such bankrupt [or insolvent], to be dealt with according to law.
