Obstructing messenger. 389. If any person shall knowingly and wilfully resist, hinder, or obstruct [any messenger of the Court in the execution of his duty as such messenger] [in the execution of his duty any officer of the Court or person acting under warrant of the Court], every such person so offending shall be [deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, being thereof duly convicted, shall be liable] [guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction] to imprisonment, ... for any term not exceeding six months.[
