Penalties. 3.(1) Any person guilty of an offence under this Act shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five pounds, and to a fine not exceeding two pounds for each day on which any such offence is continued by the said person after conviction. (2) The court by which any person is convicted of an offence under this Act or against any byelaw made thereunder may, in addition to imposing a penalty, by order cancel the registration of the premises in relation to which the offence was committed; and as from the date of the order the premises therein referred to shall be deemed to be premises which are not duly registered under this Act and the [district council] may amend their register accordingly.
