1970 c.10 57.(1) Subject to subsection (2) of section 56, on receiving satisfactory proof of the death of a nominator, the society or branch shall pay to his nominee or nominees the amount due to the deceased or such smaller amount as may have been nominated. (2) The receipt of a nominee over the age of sixteen for any amount paid in accordance with this section shall be valid. (3) Where any sum falls to be paid under subsection (1) to a nominee who is under the age of sixteen, the society or branch may pay that sum to either parent, or to a guardian, of the nominee or to any other person of full age who will undertake to hold it on trust for the nominee or to apply it for his benefit and whom the society or branch may think a fit and proper person for the purpose, and the receipt of that parent, guardian or other person shall be a sufficient discharge to the society or branch for all moneys so paid.
