Powers of Ministry as to default, etc. 29.(1) The Ministry may for the purpose of assisting [the fire authority] to give full effect to the provisions of this Act appoint an inspector or inspectors who shall be a person or persons having had practical experience of [fire-fighting]. (2) There shall be paid to each such inspector such remuneration as the Ministry may, with the consent of the Ministry of Finance, determine, and any remuneration so paid shall be part of the expenses of the Ministry incurred for the purposes of this Act. (3) An inspector of the Ministry may attend any meetings of the Authority during the transaction of any business arising under any of the provisions of this Act and may take part in the proceedings but may not vote at any such meeting.
