An Act to consolidate the Law relating to Friendly and other Societies. [7th August 1896] The provisions of the Act which had not already been repealed were repealed by the Friendly Societies Act (NI) 1970 (c.31) except in so far as they relate to trade unions see (1876 c.22 s.2). The provisions which so relate are set out below; they now apply only to insurances where the life assured at the time of the proposal was ordinarily resident outside the United Kingdom or the Isle of Man. Limitation of amount payable.
