Consent of a protector by distinct deed void, unless inrolled with or before the assurance. 44. Provided always, that the consent of a protector to the disposition of a tenant in tail shall, if given by a deed distinct from the assurance by which the disposition shall be effected by the tenant in tail, be void, unless such deed be inrolled in [the High Court] either at or before the time when the assurance shall be inrolled.
