Power of disposition not to be exercised by women tenants in tail ex provisione viri under 1634 c.8 (10 Cha.1, sess.2) (I) except with assent. 13. Provided always, that where, under any settlement made before the passing of this Act, any woman shall be tenant in tail of lands within the provisions of an Act passed in the tenth year of the reign of His Majesty King Charles the First, intituled, "An Act for the exposition of the Statute of Fines", the power of disposition hereinbefore contained as to such lands shall not be exercised by her, except with such assent as, if this Act had not been passed, would under the provisions of the said Act of King Charles the First have rendered valid a fine or common recovery levied or suffered by her of such lands.
