Prohibition of sale of milk from diseased cows. 21.(1) A person shall not (a)sell, or offer or expose for sale, or have in his possession for the purpose of sale, for human consumption; or (b)use in the manufacture of products for sale for human consumption; (2) In any prosecution under this section, the defendant shall be deemed to have known that a cow had given tuberculous milk, or was so suffering as aforesaid, if he could with ordinary care have ascertained the fact. (3) A person who contravenes any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an offence under this Act. (4) The diseases of cows to which this section applies are those listed in the First Schedule and any other disease to which the provisions of this section are extended by regulations made by the Ministry for that purpose.
