Plural candidatures prohibited. 62.(1) A person may not be nominated as a candidate at any parliamentary or local election where the nomination would result in that person's being a candidate at the same time (a)in more than one constituency or, as the case may be, more than one... ward in the same local government electoral area; Para.(b) rep. by 1972 NI 13 art.18 sch.3 (2) Sub-section (1) shall not be construed as preventing a duly qualified person from being nominated as a candidate at the elections of two or more local authorities notwithstanding that those elections are held on the same day.
