ELECTORAL LAW ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 1962 - SECT 43



43.(1) Every claim against a candidate or his election agent in respect of
expenses at [an election] which is not sent into the election agent within
fourteen days after the day on which the result of the election is declared
shall be barred and not paid.

(2) All such election expenses shall be paid within twenty-eight days after
the said day.

(3) The High Court or the county court, on an application by the claimant or
the candidate or his election agent, may on cause shown to the satisfaction of
the court by order grant leave for the payment of a claim for any expenses at
[an election] although sent in

(a)after the said period of fourteen days; or

(b)to the candidate and not to the election agent;
