7.14.(1) The Ministry may make such orders as it thinks fit, subject and according to the provisions of this Act, for prescribing the cases in which places and areas are to be declared to be infected with a disease and the authority, mode, and conditions by, in, and on which declarations in that behalf are to be made, and the effect and consequences thereof, and the duration and discontinuance thereof, and other matters connected therewith. (2) Every place or area so declared infected shall be an infected place or area for the purposes of this Act. (3) Where, in accordance with the provisions of this Act, a place or an area or a portion of an area is declared free from a disease, then, from the time specified in that behalf by the Ministry, the place or area or that portion of the area shall cease to be, or to be in, an infected place or area. (4) Any declaration or notice of the following description, that is to say: (a)a declaration of the Ministry declaring a place or area to be an infected place or area, or declaring a place or area, or a portion of an area, to be free from disease; or (b)a notice served in pursuance of directions of the Ministry by virtue of an order made under this section; Power to provide for the destruction of wild life.
