Corrupt agreements with creditors. 73. The Court shall have power to issue its warrant or order directed to the governor,... of any [prison] wherein any bankrupt, or any person who is known or suspected to have any of the estate of the bankrupt in his possession, or who is supposed to be indebted to the bankrupt, or any person the Court may believe capable of giving information concerning the person, trade, dealings, or estate of the bankrupt, shall be in custody, directing him to bring the bankrupt or any such person as aforesaid before the Court, or such officer thereof, ..., as shall be named in such warrant or order on the day named in such warrant or order for examination; and every such governor,... shall obey such warrant or order. The bankrupt or any such person as aforesaid who shall be so brought up, shall, after his or her examination, be taken back to the [prison] from which he or she was brought up, without any new or further order.
