Reports of Department. 19.Subs.(1) rep. by 1949 c.2 (NI) s.44 sch.3; subs.(2) rep. by 1972 NI 16 art.63(3) sch.19 (3) The council of every urban district may, in addition to any existing power, raise ... a sum not exceeding in any one local financial year a sum equal to a rate of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of the urban district at the beginning of that year, and may apply the same for the purposes of technical instruction, or for any other purpose for which they are authorised by or in pursuance of this Act to expend money. (4) No money shall be applied under this section save (a)in accordance with the provisions of a scheme approved by the Department; or (b)for defraying any administrative or incidental expenses incurred, with the approval of the Department, for the purposes of this Act.
