JUDGMENT
The unanimous judgment of the tribunal is that the claimant’s claim for unauthorised deduction from wages is well-founded. The tribunal orders the respondent to pay the claimant the sum of £180.00.

The claimant appeared and was self-representing.
The respondent did not enter a response to the claim and did not participate at the hearing.
1. The judgement was announced at the end of the hearing together with full oral reasons.
2. The claimant provided a written witness statement and sworn oral testimony at the hearing. The tribunal was satisfied that the claimant’s evidence was truthful and accurate.
3. The tribunal also had regard to copy text messages between the claimant and the respondent from which it was clear that the hours of work and payment was not in dispute.
4. The claimant is therefore entitled to be paid wages for 8 August 2019, 10 August 2019, 16 August 2019 and 17 August 2019.
5. The total amount awarded to the claimant is £180.00
6. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
