DECISION
The decision of the tribunal is that:-
(i) the claimant’s application for interim relief pending the determination of his complaint of unfair dismissal be refused; and
(ii) the second to seventh-named respondents inclusive be dismissed from these proceedings.

Neither the claimant nor his representative on record appeared at the hearing,. A written submission was submitted on the claimant’s behalf by the latter.
The first, second, third, fourth and fifth-named respondents were represented by Mr P Ferrity, Barrister-at-Law, instructed by The Departmental Solicitor’s Office.
The sixth-named respondent did not appear and was not represented.
The seventh-named respondent’s solicitor, by letter of 28 September 2012, indicated that their client would not be represented at the hearing.
1. The claimant’s application for interim relief was refused, for reasons given at the hearing.
2. In the light of that ruling, the other respondents are now dismissed from these proceedings.
3. The substantive unfair dismissal claim will be listed for hearing in due course. Nothing in this decision is intended to affect the final determination of that claim.
4. Mr Ferrity BL, for the first to fifth-named respondents, reserved his position on costs to the main hearing.
