1. The claimant, unlike some others in this consolidated group of cases, had provided sufficient detail to enable the tribunal, in the absence of a response, to make an award in relation to statutory redundancy pay. The claimant was 31 years of age at termination, had two complete years’ service and her gross weekly pay was £519.23.
2. The claimant is entitled to a statutory redundancy payment of:-
2 x £400.00 (statutory cap) = £ 800.00
3. The claimant is entitled to one month and one week’s net wages (unpaid):-
£1,622.75 + £347.48 = £1,970.23
4. The claimant is entitled to six days’ holiday pay (net):-
6 x £74.89 = £ 449.34
5. The claimant had completed two years’ service and is entitled to two weeks minimum notice or pay in lieu of notice:-
2 x £374.48 = £ 748.96
6. The total amount due to the claimant is £3,968.25.
7. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
