Reasons
1. I considered the oral and documentary evidence provided by the claimant and considered the letter from the respondent received by the Office of the Tribunals on 15 November 2010. Following consideration of the evidence I was satisfied that the sum of £2183.07 was payable in respect of redundancy payment, holiday pay and notice pay calculated on the following facts:
The claimant’s date of birth: 16 December 1980.
Dates of employment: 23 April 2007 to 24 July 2010 = 3 full years.
Age at 24 July 2010 = 29.
Gross pay per week = £311.54.
Nett pay per week = £249.69.
2. Redundancy calculation: 3 years x 1 x £311.54 = £934.62.
3. Holiday pay calculation: 2 weeks by £249.69 = £499.38.
4. Notice pay calculation: 3 weeks by £249.69 = £749.07.
5. This is a relevant decision for the purposes of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order NI (1990).
