DECISION
The decision of the
tribunal is that the claimant is entitled to £2,846.56 being the balance of
statutory redundancy payment owed by the respondent.

1. The claimant was made redundant by the
respondent on or about 20 February 2009. He had 14 complete years’ service and
was aged 51 years. His gross weekly pay exceeded the statutory cap of £380.00.
2. The respondent accepted that statutory
redundancy pay was due but was able to make only a part-payment of £4,373.44.
3. The claimant was entitled to statutory
redundancy pay of £7,220.00, leaving a balance of £2,846.56 which is due to
him.
4. This is a relevant decision for the purposes
of the Industrial Tribunals (Interest) Order (Northern Ireland) 1990.
